This converter was used as a direct replacement on my 2000 Jeep Wrangler, which I believe is a half year model. Many other places suggested a universal converter for that year, which would have been more trouble to install. I have installed three other Catco aftermarket converters on this Jeep so far, and all of them broke internally, even though the Jeep runs well. On the last Catco, the hanger also broke. This one was a little tricky to install without dropping the skid plate. It was only possible to do this because the one I received did not have the studs in the front flange as in the picture, which was not a problem. This one has better welds and seems to be of better quality than the Catco, so hopefully it will not have the same problems.
